Directions to St. Mary's Park in Monroe ------------------------------------------------ St. Mary's Park is located at the corner of Monroe and Elm streets in downtown Monroe. Parking is on the park grounds, but it has one-way entrance and exit access. Enter from Monroe Street, Exit onto Elm. Note: Monroe Street is also known as M-125 ------------------------------------------------ From the Detroit or Toledo Areas (North or South): Proceed on I-75 (South from Detroit, North from Toledo) to the Monroe area. Exit on the Elm Street exit and follow Elm Street into Monroe. If you go the wrong way, you'll know it pretty quick, because you'll end up at the gates of the Monroe Ford Plant and Lake Erie. Follow Elm Street into downtown Monroe.... The 4th light that you encounter should be Monroe street (M-125). Its a fairly big intersection, and is distinguished by the fact that on the southwest corner of the intersection, there is a rather large statue of General Custer (yes, THE General Custer--Monroe is the recognized home of the General before his demise) Turn LEFT onto Monroe Street, but stay in the right lane, for the entrance to the parking lot is just past the Custer statue. Turn right into the parking lot, park and enjoy great music! ------------------------------------------------ From the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti areas (West): Take US-23 South to the Dundee exit (M-50). I belive its exit 17, but don't quote me. Follow M-50 East until you get to Monroe, about 10 miles. You should cross over US-24, Telegraph Road, just as you hit the city limits. You will cross a set of railroad tracks about a quarter mile east of Telegraph. After you cross them, proceed to turn left at the traffic light, onto Roessler Street and drive over the bridge. Turn right at the next light onto Elm Street. Proceed on Elm Street for about a mile until you hit the next light, Monroe Street. Note the large statue of General Custer on your right. Turn Right onto Monroe Street, staying in the right lane. The entrance to the parking lot is just after the Custer statue. Turn right into the parking lot, park and enjoy great music!
